Snow Can Wait # 6 | Walter Ruhlmann

I counted the tears of a thousand men
and clasped in my arms
they almost suffocated.

My god I feel dizzy
and the ground is giving way
under the weight of the nights
spent with them

I felt weak
today when I think of it
I was rather brave
to have dared to spend
so many nights in the caves full
of violence and absence,
of bodies going into trance.

Troubling but in a good way.

Mysterious nights and hidden caves: a very intriguing poem, Walter.

Enjoyed.

The last line is especially powerful.

This is strong writing, eerily invocative and lush, despite its sparse simplicity.

Love this opening:

"I counted the tears of a thousand men
and clasped in my arms
they almost suffocated."

Excellent work, Walter!
