Ikebana_snag_trio_5

This is a haiga with my ikebana in Seika style, and a haiku sequence instead ot one haiku. The Yellow Tanacetum (shin) represents the rippling water in the boat wake, and the two branches (soe) -- a snag and a rose twig -- its billowing sail. The colors in this arrangement surely represent a deep autumn.

"Autumn deepens" is a kigo for late autumn, aki fukashi (see it in the WHD at  http://wkdkigodatabase03.blogspot.com/2007/11/autumn-deepens-aki-fukashi.html)

very beautiful ikebana and nicely arranged words. I would get rid of that ornamented frame though because it's a bit distracting.

Thank you, Ricardas -- glad you like it :) As for the frame, it supports the leaves motif in the ikebana, and I tried to use a subtle shade of maroon (the color of the Coleus, those dark leaves in the middle). To me, it feels harmonious -- but I know others might have different views :)

Btw, Ricardas -- I visited your blog, and found out you are from Lithuania! I've been there in 1991, in Klaipeda and Kaunas. One of my haiku's translated into Lithuanian :) I'll visit you again sometimes :)

I like all three, but especially appreciate the first one. I also really like the presentation.

Enjoyed.

Yes Olga, you are welcome to visit Lithuania again especially because it has changed so much since 1991.

Thank you, Aurora and Robert! I am happy that you enjoyed :)

I had to add that the third haiku was published in the WHR 2007, btw.

Oh, Ricardas -- I wanted to say, that I will visit your blog again! :) You are also welcome to visit my LJ! :)

Unfortunately I am very limited in traveling now, and will probably never visit Lithuania again...
