Catching up on some reading, and waiting for the corrected copies of Magnapoets issue 8 to arrive from the printer's. Canada's mail strike has ended (it ended awhile ago), but mail is still arriving with May and June dates.
I've been busy with some personal projects, one which I won't talk about til it's a little further developed because I'm under contract, and I've also been asked to write a chapter about my life for inclusion in a book about my parents. That's actually a lot harder than I thought it would be, because there are so many directions I could take that in. I'd rather the entire chaper be about memories about my parents, but I was asked to be in some boring biographical stuff about myself as well. I've also begun a small, local book club just for fun, and I'll post the titles we're reading in a few days' time. There are 10 of us (myself included), and we've each suggested one title, with each book to be read and discussed monthly. Only problem is, I've read almost the entire list myself already. I know, I shouldn't break the rules to my own book club, but I couldn't resist. :)
To those who have been asking, no, there are no plans to do any more anthologies in 2011, but I hope to introduce some new ones in 2012 or 2013. I've also been asked to do a few more editorial stints for other publications, which I've agreed to starting in 2012. I am also editing a poetry book for another publishing company. I won't be able to edit or review any books for the rest of 2011 and possibly 2012, so please don't send them my way.
